A PICTURE drawn by a little girl from Upavon is featuring on the Christmas cards being sent out by Claire Perry MP this year.
The design by five-year-old Daisy Babey was a Regional Winner in Royal Mail’s Children’s Christmas Stamp Design Competition and Daisy won £100 vouchers and £100 for Rushall Primary School, where she is a pupil.
Last week Mrs Perry personally delivered Daisy’s card to No. 10 Downing Street and then popped into Rushall School where spoke to the whole school in assembly and presented Daisy with a photograph of herself and the Christmas card on the doorstep of No.10.
Mrs Perry said: “I send around 400 Christmas cards each year to people I have met across the Devizes constituency, as well as colleagues in Westminster and I always like to use artwork produced by a local young person. “Daisy’s card is such fun and will now be resplendent on a mantelpiece at No.10.”
