THERE is ‘great concern’ for the welfare of a missing woman who was last seen in Poole five months ago, and who may now be in Hampshire.
Joanne Watson, who may also be known as Josy, disappeared from the Canford Heath area of Poole in August.
Family members reported the 41-year-old missing and said they believe she could now be living in the Hampshire area.
The family received written contact from Ms Watson in December but did not wish to make any further comments.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “This is a case where the family is not aware of her location. Inquiries are ongoing.”
UK charity Missing People has released a number of posters and these will be distributed throughout Dorset and Hampshire.
A spokesman from the Missing People charity said: “There is great concern for her welfare.
“If you think you can help the search then please call missing people.
“Joanne, we would love to hear from you.”
Anyone with any information can call Missing People in confidence on 116000 or Dorset Police on 101.
