SPRING and cuckoos may seem like a distant memory but the money raised at last year’s Downton Cuckoo Fair is continuing to do good work at Salisbury District Hospital.
The event raised £1,000 for the Stars Appeal, which was handed to hospital doctors by members of the fair’s organising committee on Thursday.
The money will support diagnostic services in the radiology department following last year’s successful campaign to raise £650,000 for a second CT scanner, which will arrive at the hospital in a few months time.
