LATIN students at Chafyn Grove School triumphed in an annual reading competition on Tuesday.
Three teams from years 6 and 7 took part in the Salisbury Latin contest, each giving a dramatic rendition of a scene in which Felix the faithful slave rescues his master’s baby son from a kidnapping attempt.
Against tough competition from Port Regis, Leaden Hall and St Mary’s Shaftesbury, the team of Elizabeth Balls, Oliver Scudds, Elena Swanton and Toby Blunden won the class, with Izzy Siggers, Felicity Cotton, Matilda Staples and Skeet Northfield coming in third.
