A GROUP of Ringwood students joined a global vigil on the third anniversary of the Syria crisis.
The students, from Ringwood School, travelled to London to join the vigil which involved thousands of people around the world standing together for the #WithSyria campaign.
Vigils were held in Moscow and Washington, as well as London on Thursday, which marked the third anniversary of the crisis.
Millie Wells, 16, is in the Global Campaigners group from Ringwood School and has been helping to organise campaigning in the school for Syrian refugees.
Speaking at the event, she said: “We have been campaigning in the school and wanted to come up today to support Syrian refugees, especially children, because if the bloodshed continues there is a risk of losing a whole generation.
“I feel so passionately about trying to help and to do something outside of school.”
The #WithSyria campaign film is an animation by Hi-Sim Studios with RSA Films with music from Elbow.
