A KEEN footballer who plays for Alderbury was chosen to be the team mascot for Gosport Borough FC at the club’s recent FA Trophy final against Cambridge United.
Charlie Pyke, nine, went to Wembley and walked down the tunnel and onto the pitch with his football heroes before the game.
He said: “I was quite excited. I’m a fan of Gosport. I really liked the changing rooms, and everywhere was really clean.”
The youngster, a pupil at St Mark’s School in Salisbury, was accompanied to the match, which ended 4-0 to Cambridge, by his parents Jo and Terry, brother Kieran, 17, and 14-year-old sister Victoria.
