A SHOP in Bemerton Heath has been crowned Londis Small Store of the Year.
Owners Mandy and Steve Andrews successfully got through three rounds to win the accolade.
Judges visited the store in February and Mr and Mrs Andrews received the award at a ceremony held at Sandown Park Racecourse on Thursday.
“We knew we were one of three finalists but we were still very surprised we won,” said Mrs Andrews. The store was recognised for its high standards and good atmosphere by Londis judges.
Mrs Andrews said: “I would like to thank all the staff because it’s a team effort.
“They worked really hard this year; we had the refurbishment and they had to learn the Post Office.
“It has been a tough year and they have done really well; I was chuffed we got through to the final.”
