COLOURFUL carnival capers brought the streets of Tisbury to life at the village’s annual parade on Saturday.
Young and old dressed to impress with many entries inspired by books, films and television programmes.
Processions took place in the afternoon and evening with music and other entertainment happening throughout the day.
The carnival was the culmination of a week of community activities and events.
The future of the carnival was hanging in the balance with organisers putting out a desperate appeal for the community to get involved and save the event.
But people rallied round to join in the fun and games including majorettes, pom pom troupes, musicians and community groups who all entered into the spirit of the occasion.
