It was a busy day for popular tourist attraction Stonehenge – a famous bear, WWE wrestlers and Uri Geller were just some of the visitors on Tuesday.

Uri Geller, Paddington Bear and World Wrestling Entertainment superstars were all spotted at the iconic stones.

Well-known spoon-bender Uri Geller told the Journal that he chose to visit the mystical tourist attraction this week instead of his usual November 11 trip to Japan.

He said: “I am quite well known in Japan and once a year we go to Japan on November 11. It is a very mystical number. This year I suggested that instead of Mount Fuji, which is one of those mystical places, we go to Stonehenge. Stonehenge is surrounded by mystery, and mystic and ritualistic history – that is why we went.

“I looked into the camera and sent best wishes to everyone in Japan.”

Mr Geller praised the historic site and vowed to return there.

“Stonehenge is amazing, you see people from all around the world there,” he added. “Of course now I have felt the power and force I am definitely going to take my friends there and try to promote Stonehenge.

“It is still a mystery. Nobody quite knows exactly what the true structure meant.”

Uri also said he has his very own Stonehenge in his garden – although on a much smaller scale.

Kate Davies, the general manager at Stonehenge, said: "All the staff on site enjoy the wide variety of visitors who come to Stonehenge and we all felt particularly honoured this week to have a visit from Paddington Bear.”
