VISITORS to St James’ Church in Alderholt this weekend were treated with a spectacular display of wild flowers.
The Rev Pip Martin held a Wild for Daffodils day on Mother’s Day, with scores of people enjoying refreshments in the church hall.
The churchyard has won several awards for its wildlife-friendly management while remaining sensitive to the needs of bereaved families.
Wild daffodils are fairly rare, but St James' churchyard boasts a carpet of them. All proceeds will go towards the church funds.
