THE 86th Fordingbridge Show will take place this year at a new venue that will accommodate more visitors than the previous Godshill site and will enable the hosting of even more attractions.

Vice-chairman of the show society Ian Newman said: "After many successful years at Godshill we will be moving the show to Midgham, as the show is getting bigger and quite simply we need the extra space."

The site at Midgham Farm will also be big enough to allow all the car parks to be situated in an adjacent field.

Last year's show brought in large numbers of visitors despite the sweltering temperatures.

Mr Newman said: "I'm proud that the Fordingbridge Show is such a thriving event in this community.

"The partnership last year with professional event organisers, Living Heritage proved very successful and with the move to Midgham this year, I believe that the 2007 show may be our best yet!"

The show will take place on July 14 and 15 at the Midgham Farm showground.

Requests for schedules for the classes can be made through I.N. Newman Ltd, Griffin Mews, Fordingbridge.
