New Youth Group
Salisbury Cathedral is very pleased to be launching a new youth group for ages 11+ (Year 7 onwards). If you or anyone you know is interested, please come along. Miriam Taylor will be organising the group and would love to hear from you! The first meeting will be on March 4 during the 10am Eucharist. Sessions will be themed around bible readings with plenty of time for discussion - hopefully we can arrange some days out too! For more details please contact Miriam (01722 331590) or Edward Probert (01722 555189).

Deanery Intercessors
Not everyone is aware that every Deanery in the Diocese is prayed for on a daily basis by a dedicated team of Deanery Intercessors.
Churches within deaneries are also prayed for on specific days in the Cathedral, and are contacted to see if they would like to attend Evensong on their particular 'day'.
It is always a pleasure to welcome clergy and congregations from the Deaneries to the Cathedral, keeping, as it does, that important link between the Mother church and all the other churches in the Diocese. Clergy are invited to robe on those particular days.
We now need to recruit some new Intercessors. Intercessors are linked with a prayer partner, and each pair are responsible for praying for and keeping in touch with their Deanery. We meet twice a year to share experiences and excellent cake!
Prayer is at the heart of all we do, so if there is anyone who might be interested in joining this vital group, please get in touch with: Maggie Guillebaud, Cathedral Curate, on 01722 555198 .

Mighty and Majestic
If you were in the Cathedral in February you may have seen lots of 7 - 9 year olds experiencing the Mighty and Majestic Cathedral.
The Education Centre arranged a series of workshop days for schools linked to the Wiltshire RE scheme on Holy buildings and the Cathedral as a place where people worship and work.
Nearly 400 children over the 4 days enjoyed tours of the Cathedral, an organ demonstration, learning new songs and making banners which they then used in a procession around the Cathedral.
The days were very successful and wouldn't be possible without the wonderful volunteers who give up so much time to help.
The next workshops will be Pilgrimage from Old Sarum on May 24 and Water for Life on June 5, 6 and 7.
