POLICE are investigating a break-in at a petrol station near Ringwood.
Cigarettes were stolen during the incident at the Picket Post station on the westbound side of the A31.
The break-in took place after midnight on Tuesday June 2.
Officers are hunting for two men in relation to the incident and have issued a public appeal for information.
They sealed off the station and police also closed the fuel station on the eastbound site to investigate although police said they do not have any reports of a break-in there.
It is believed this is due to electric problems.
Police say they are looking for two men after the break-in at about 12.30pm.
A police spokesman confirmed that “a quantity of cigarettes” had been taken, adding: “If you saw two men in the area acting suspiciously at around midnight please call 101, quoting incident 100 of June 2.”
