WITH the summer holidays approaching, Sparsholt College is urging all Year 11 students still making college decisions to attend the last open event of this academic year on June 25, from 4pm-7pm.

Principal Tim Jackson said: “We don’t want anyone to miss out. This is the last of our open events for students who will be starting college in September 2015. This is the ideal opportunity for anyone looking to turn a passion or interest into a career at one of this country’s leading land-based colleges.

"Come along to find out about courses, speak to our expert lecturers and take a look around the beautiful campus, which has industry standard facilities.”

Staff will be on hand to provide information on apprenticeships, finance and bursaries, accommodation, transport and careers advice. Alongside apprenticeships the college also offers a range of part and full-time courses at further, higher and masters level. All courses are designed to lead to a career working on the land, the environment, in sustainable technologies, with animals and in sport.

Courses on offer include agriculture, agricultural engineering, animal management, arboriculture and forestry, conservation management, equine studies, fishery studies, game and wildlife, horticulture and garden design, motor vehicle, outdoor education, public services, sports and veterinary nursing.
