THE first Plain Arts Small Pictures exhibition opened to the public on Wednesday and runs through to July 31 at Gallery 4 in Salisbury Library.

Plain Arts is an organisation for artists in and around Salisbury.

The opportunity to exhibit in Salisbury Library has attracted more than 50 members with work ranging from painting through to photography and sculpture.

David Walker, Plain Arts co-ordinator, commented: “This is a wonderful opportunity for local artists to exhibit in a terrific venue right in the centre of Salisbury. I do hope that we attract as many people as possible to come along and see just what an amazing range of creative and brilliant art that is available to them and how lucky we are to have such a wealth of talent in the local community.

“All the signs are that this will be a very rewarding experience for anyone visiting this exhibition and we would love to establish this as an annual event in the Salisbury arts calendar.”
