THE Chapel Nightclub will undergo a magical transformation for a few days when walls more used to the bass bins rumbling and the throng of late-night dancing will echo with music of a very different kind.

The magnificent pipe organ will dominate as professional singers and orchestra come together in this extraordinary Victorian gothic chapel to stage a production of Gounod’s opera, Faust under the direction of Ben Occhipinti and the baton of Calum Fraser.

Winterbourne Opera is pleased to announce the full cast list.

Winterbourne Operate chairman Hilary Sharland says: “At our auditions in London in November we were overwhelmed by both the response and the quality of the singers wishing to be involved in our production of Faust. The seven young professional soloists are all impressive, and it is lovely to have a mix of new and familiar performers. Our audiences will welcome back three singers with Salisbury connections.”

“The Chapel Nightclub is an incredibly exciting venue and Faust is probably one of the most dramatic operas that we have produced. Ben will be staging it with a contemporary twist, so we can guarantee that the whole experience will be a totally unique one.”

Faust will be performed on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29, Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1 at 7.30pm at The Chapel Nightclub.

A two-course summer menu dinner can be booked for 6pm on the Friday.
