SAVILLS has been instructed to market development land in Whaddon, Salisbury.

The site lies within 500m of the A36 and extends to approximately 1.074 hectares (2.65 acres) and now benefits from resolution to grant outline planning permission, for 28 dwellings with 40% affordable housing provision, subject to a signed S106 agreement.

The proposed Section 106 agreement will include a number of benefits for the village including a new local health centre for village residents.

“The site benefits from an excellent position close to Salisbury and Southampton yet also lies within an attractive rural setting that will appeal to developers looking to sensitively enhance the character of Whaddon,” comments Ilse Dalen of Savills.

“The outline scheme has been sympathetically designed with the community in mind to provide facilities that will directly benefit the surroundings.”

The site is to be offered for sale by informal tender, inviting best offers no later than 12pm Wednesday 9th September.
