This award will recognise a very special parent or parents, but the winner doesn’t have to be a birth-parent!
Foster parents, guardians and mother- and father-figures like big sisters, uncles and cousins can also be nominated.
Perhaps they’ve raised you in difficult circumstances, turned your life around and been a wonderful role model. Tell us about your special parent or parents!
Sponsored by Stonehenge School
The Stonehenge School is the only secondary school in the historic town of Amesbury.
It is a mixed comprehensive school admitting both boys and girls of all abilities. The school, located just over a mile from the Stonehenge world heritage site serves the Amesbury community as well as many of the villages surrounding it.
Almost a quarter of the pupils on roll are from families connected to the armed forces on Salisbury Plain. The school fosters a very strong sense of community and has been consistently graded as Good by Ofsted in each of its last four inspections over a period of more than 10 years.
There is significant housing development already underway in the town and the school is anticipating a rapid growth in its pupil population over the next few years. Families moving into the area can arrange a tour of the school with their child on any working day, although it is advisable to contact the school in advance.
