THE SALISBURY Journal is looking to its readers and online followers to step forward for a very special occasion.

If you have ever fancied performing an official opening and you are available on August 27th then you need to let us know.

Journal readers and Facebook followers have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cut the ribbon at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill in Salisbury’s High Street when it opens after a refit.

The store closes on August 15th and reopens on 27th 10am.

Store manager Samantha Finlay said: “Our new store will be having a new look with new flooring and fixtures to make our lovely customers shopping experience even better. We will still be selling our popular line such as Country Rose, Cashmere, Harris Tweed, Honor Milburn and traditional walkers Shortbread.

She said: “We are looking for one of our lovely customers to do us the honour of reopening our store and be our VIP on the 27th by entering through the Journal’s Facebook.”

Visitors on 27th will me met with a champagne and shortbread celebration.

If you wish to enter, or nominate a family member to perform the honour, all you need to is “Like” the Journal’s Facebook page and email editor@salisburyjournal.co.uk to say that you have done it (please put VIP competition in the subject box).*

The names of all those who have entered will go into the hat on Monday, August 17th, and the winner will be the first one drawn.

*It will be assumed that by entering the competition you are happy for the Journal and Edinburgh Woollen Mill to contact you with news and marketing information – unless you state otherwise.
