Entries for the Local Business Accelerator Awards have been arriving at the Journal.

There are already a dozen companies lined up to be considered for this great prize, which is aimed at helping up to three of them take their next step forward in growth.

This great competition is being organised by the Salisbury Journal and the city’s Chamber of Commerce.

Bill Browne, Publisher of Salisbury Newspapers, said: “Companies between two and five years old can register

“Those who nominate themselves will have the opportunity to tell us why they should be chosen. A shortlist of companies will then pitch their business to three experienced judges – all themselves serious business people.

“There will be three chosen winners from the shortlist and these will have a great opportunity to review and promote what they are doing.

“The judges will also act as mentors to the winners and for three months they will endeavour to coach them to further success.

“The second part of the prize will be three months of free advertising worth a total £2,000 courtesy of Salisbury Newspapers and Spire FM.”

The judges, who will also be the mentors, have already been selected. They are: Amanda Newbery, co-owner of the Chapel Nightclub, David Clayton MD of Bassets Estate Agents, and Robert Snook, Group Director MG Cannon.
