A DISUSED former care home in the city centre has re-opened as an 11-bed professional house-share following refurbishment work.
The work at Haven Court was carried out by Barrakav Properties and provides accommodation for young working people in the city.
Gavin Barrett, proprietor, said: “The development of Haven Court will enable yet more under-utilised premises to be put to good use, providing desperately needed accommodation close to the city centre.
"It will take another eleven people off of our waiting list, and into high-quality, affordable housing, where they can contribute to the local economy, and enjoy easy access to shops, restaurants and public transport links.”
The property, which opened on September 12, will be Barrakavs seventh property in Salisbury and the firm now offers 49 rooms within the city, all for young working people.
