Gigs, giggles and gossip in musical revue WHEN Studio Theatre's president, Rosemary Squires, stepped out into a huge puddle at the theatre's car park in Ashley Road, Salisbury, it gave her an idea - why not raise funds to Tarmac the whole car park?

Luckily for her, sandwiched between Windsor and the Isle of Wight, there was a free night when her musical director, international pianist Brian Dee, was able to stay over in Salisbury. Guitarist Colin Green, former musical director for Shirley Bassey, will also be joining her.

Rosemary will perform her musical revue, Gigs, Giggles and Gossip, next Thursday, May 10, at, naturally enough, the Studio Theatre.

The anecdotal show, by way of monologue and song, spiced by a little backstage chat, is one of Rosemary's favourites, and is perfect family entertainment, being both musical and fun.

From her early ambition to be a jazz singer, Rosemary Squires flourished as a big band singer, often heard on radio, television and topping the bill at London's Palladium as well as concert halls up and down the country.

She has starred with great stars on both sides of the Atlantic, from Danny Kaye to Morecambe and Wise, and with all the big bands from Ted Heath to the BBC Concert Orchestra.

There cannot be many artists with her experience or spread of talent.
