LEADING Salisbury hair salon JAS Hair has been invited to play a part in the 2016 London Fashion Week.

Jayne Prigent announced the news as the company she owns with husband Neil celebrated 25 years in business.

The couple hosted a celebratory event at the White Hart Hotel in the week as a thank you to "our business partners, our business friends, our great JAS team, past team members and family."

With some 70 guests at the event, Jayne said: "With JAS Hair approaching 25 there have been many significant moments in our history."

Jayne said she thought the most important was the company's "JAS Way" philosophy. "The way we do things with our team and guests consistently.

She said the past year "has been absolutely fantastic, as we have won both the South Wilts Business of the Year Awards, for training for the third time and UK’s Best Local Salon 2015 for the second time.

The JAS salons had looked after 23,000 customers this year and the Salisbury salon had recently had a makeover, with the Wilton Salon set for a new look in 2016.

Said Jayne: "Next year will be equally exciting because I will be celebrating with the team over the next 12 months in 25 different ways for our 25 years. Our team has the opportunity for the very first time to be part of London Fashion Week.

"I’ve accepted to open an industry leading Salon Business Conference, Salon Smart in March - along with the General Manager of Harrods Spa and Nicky Clarke, plus many more industry leaders."

Jayne said she was delighted with their progress. "Winning our first Local Business Award in 2009 and National Award in 2012 were very important as it gave us the knowledge and confidence, that we were actually doing things right.

"As a personal moment — having an invitation and attending the Moscow Hairdressing Convention as a key note speaker was unbelievable. Walking through Red Square in the morning and then later in the day speaking to the Russian audience all our about our JAS Hair story."
