A TEAM of four from Symonds & Sampson in Salisbury will be lacing up their running shoes to boost funds to help the lifesaving work of Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Jack Edwards, Derryn Pollard, Meg Thornton and Philip Pollard, who are part of the agricultural team at the firm, will be running the Bath Half Marathon on March 13.

Jack said: "We have chosen to support this particular charity as they rely solely on donations to keep them flying, £8,907 a day to be exact. They attend on average three potentially life threatening situations every day and can be anywhere in Wiltshire within 11 minutes.

"Working as closely as we do with our farming and landowner clients it is certainly comforting to know that organisations like Wiltshire Air Ambulance exist and are on hand to provide help to even the most remote locations."

He added: "We are feeling a little anxious about the prospect of running a half marathon especially as none of us would class ourselves as runners, however we will just try to remember we are running for a very good cause and hope that the air ambulance don’t have to make a rescue mission to any of us running the 13 miles."

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so by popping into the Crane Street office or online at justgiving.com/Derryn-Pollard/
