TWO diggers worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a farm in Mere.
Thieves made off with a Kubota 1 tonne digger and a Komatsu PC09 digger as well as nine buckets after getting into the bottom of a field in Wet Lane.
The theft happened overnight between Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14.
PC Steven Porter said: "The diggers stolen are worth several thousands of pounds and this incident will therefore have had a significant financial impact on the victims.
"I'd like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the Wet Lane area overnight between 13 and 14 October. Any information you have may be significant to our enquiries."
