THE achievements of students were recognised at a special awards ceremony at Burgate School and Sixth Form Centre.
The class of 2016 were welcomed back for the annual awards and presentation evening was held last week and was presided over by special guest Judge Keith Cutler.
Many students were awarded individual prizes on the night, including Michael Sullivan for academic progress, David Handscombe for academic achievement and Natasha Wale for service to the Sixth Form.
Headteacher David Pover said: "This ceremony was not only a celebration of yet another excellent set of A Level results, but also an opportunity to recognise those students who overcame their own personal challenges in achieving their goals.
"I am very proud of all of their achievements and wish them every success in the future, hoping that Burgate will remain a fond memory of happy sixth form life."
