Staff, former pupils, students and friends will be gathering in Salisbury Cathedral on July 11 to mark the retirement of Bob Thackray as he completes nine years as Head of the Cathedral School.
During his time, the girls have been fully integrated into achieving equal status with the boy choristers of the choir.
Bob successfully set up an outreach programme led by the school's Director of Music, and the achievement in Music Scholarships has been outstanding.
Bob has also overseen considerable improvements to the buildings in the school grounds.
Bob and Trisha's retirement plans include an extension of their alpaca breeding programme. Bob will have more time to exercise his vintage car and compose music.
