Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Salisbury Cathedral, the new interior and exterior lighting of the Cathedral has been commissioned.
The process started back at the beginning of 2004 when the Cathedral's Fabric Policy Committee discussed the poor state of the Cathedral lighting.
Many trials, permission applications and meetings later there is now a state of the art system designed by Light & Design Associates and installed by R. T. Harris.
Pre-set scenes will be available to the Precentor and vergers to use in various parts of the Cathedral to enhance worship as the new lighting highlights the beauty of the Cathedral.
