CATAPULT vandals have struck again in Salisbury - a month after police thought they had stamped out the problem.
A window of the Sea Cadet Hut in Churchill Gardens was smashed on Monday, March 6, and the window of a house in Essex Square was smashed two days later.
It followed more than 70 reports of criminal damage across Salisbury and south Wiltshire.
The city's police chief said he had hoped the spate of crimes had ended after four youths caught with catapults and ball bearings were arrested in February.
Inspector Pete Sparrow admitted the police had been "lucky" with the arrest, but needed to catch vandals in the act because owning a catapult was not illegal.
