A 21-YEAR-OLD suffered injuries to his chest and face after he was attacked by a group of men.

The assault took place between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on Friday, December 8, as the man was walking in the area of South Wiltshire UTC, in Wilton Road, when he was approached by a group of four men.

The men assaulted him and he sustained injuries to his chest and face. He later received medical attention at Salisbury District Hospital.

Detective Constable Kimberley Weston, of Salisbury CID, said: “Following the assault, the men made off quickly – it is possible that they had access to a car which was parked close by.

“The victim, who fortunately wasn’t seriously injured, was assisted by a member of the public, who we know only as Jane. She was wearing a long, thick, green coat and was walking a dog when she assisted the man following the assault.

“We’d really like to speak to this woman and would urge her to get in touch.”

Anyone who was in the area at the time is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
