COLOURFUL characters sailed into Amesbury for the carnival on Saturday.
The day started with a carnival procession through the town which made its way to Holders Field for a whole host of activities and entertainment for all ages in the showground including the Devil’s Horsemen as well as stunt riding by Jason Smyth and more.
The carnival inspired by the the At the Beach and Under the Sea and the carnival procession was filled with pirates, mermaids and other colourful costumes. The carnival queen for this year was Shaina Lucas with Christine–Marie Bell as the queen’s attendant and carnival king Kaylan Northing. Ali Gutzwiller was carnival princess and Cory Andrew was princes. Their attendants were Harper Williamson and Oliver Hill-Parker.
The carnival committee said it was a "great success" and thanked all the sponsors and everyone who supported this year's event.
