ONE of Amesbury's best-loved landmarks has been decorated to show support for the England team ahead of tonight's game.

Michelle Topps said the decorations aimed to "send a message of support to our last in Russia".

"In light of recent events we hope to raise community spirit, and really hope we'll be raising the World Cup," she added.

"Let's show the world we are calm and we are carrying on.

"If we go through on Wednesday we have another surprise for you.

"Watch this space."

England are set to play Croatia in the semi-finals tonight.

It comes after their 2-0 win against Sweden in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on ITV at 7pm, with pre-match coverage starting at about 6.30pm.

Almost 20 million people tuned in to watch England's quarter-final win over Sweden, with an average 15.8 million viewers across the 90 minutes.

It is the first time England has reached the semi-finals since 1990.

If England win they will go through to the final on Sunday, where they will play against France.
