WILTSHIRE College will be hosting a Big Bang event at its Salisbury campus tomorrow, to show children that science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) related learning can be fun and worth pursuing as a career.

Following the success of the Chippenham campus event in 2016, Big Bang invites all schools in the Salisbury area to try out various STEM activities at the college, offered by local businesses and the Wiltshire College teaching team.

A range of interactive, fun and challenging activities will be offered to students including using a green screen, taking part in experiments, hair and beauty, problem solving, painting and decorating, and investigating a crime scene with only a piece of hair as evidence.

Over the lunch period the fun continues, as children can enjoy events such as glow in the dark badminton, rock climbing and table tennis.

The all- day event will be kicking off from 9am with the college divided into four zones named after legendary figures in the industry: Hawking, Newton, Nightingale and Brunel.

Giveaways and prizes will also be available throughout the day, so this event is not one to be missed.
