A LORRY carrying about 44 tonnes of straw caught fire in Larkhill last night.
Fire crews from Salisbury, Fordingbridge, Tisbury and Andover, together with a water carrier from Wilton and a Land Rover pump from Ludgershall, attended the incident at the Packway.
The fire then spread to adjacent fields, and the stop came at 10.30pm.
One crew from Salisbury returned to the scene this morning after police reported smouldering in some of the hay.
