Salisbury Police have confirmed today that a cordon near the Baptist Church in Amesbury has been lifted.
A statement said: "We can confirm that today (08/08) the cordon around a grassed area near to the Amesbury Baptist Church has been removed.
"This area was cordoned off as a precaution and it has now been confirmed that this area is not required by the investigation, nor does it pose any public health risk.
"Therefore we are pleased to be able to release the area back for use by the community.
"The cordon around the Baptist Church will remain in place until further notice whilst our investigation and enquiries continue. We continue to strive to release areas back to the community as soon as possible but our priority will always be ensuring the safety of the public.
"We would like to thank the residents of Amesbury again for their patience and support throughout this investigation."
