The RMT union have confirmed that the planned strike for Saturday August, 11 has been suspended to allow for further talks to take place.
South West Railway now intend to run a full timetabled service on Saturday.
A South Western Railway spokesperson said:
"We are pleased for our passengers that this strike has been called off to allow further talks to take place.
"This means we will be running a full Saturday timetable on 11 August."
The remaining strike dates of Saturday 18th August, Friday 31st August and Saturday 01 September remain in place.
