A TOTAL of 51 incidents in the Fordingbridge town area were reported to police in July – 25 were recordable as crime.

The figures from the neighbourhood policing team were read out during a meeting of Fordingbridge Town Council last week.

There was a drop in antisocial behaviour in July with four incidents reported compared to eight in June.

Two incidents of violence against the person – one was where a teenager was poked with a stick and the other was domestic related. Only one incident was recorded in the previous month. There was also one dwelling burglary where cash and car keys were stolen and non-dwelling burglaries where batteries and power tools were stolen from an outside container.

Two incidents of criminal damage to vehicles and nine thefts were recorded as well as five suspicious incidents.

In June, 56 incidents were reported - 17 were recordable as crimes.

In addition to the eight incidents of antisocial behaviour there was one incident of violence against the person and three non-dwelling burglaries as well as two thefts, two of criminal damage and theft from motor vehicles, and nine suspicious incidents.
