COMPETITORS showed off their hard work at Ibsley and District Horticultural Society's annual show.
The event was held on Saturday (September 8) at Ibsley village hall.
Prize winners were presented with trophies by special guest, the chairman of Ellingham, Harbridge and Ibsley Parish Council, Lindsay Burtenshaw.
The chairman of the society Alleyn Wilson said: “We were really worried because of the funny weather we have been having that there would be fewer entries and the entries would be of less good quality. Both those fears were ungrounded. We had a bumper crop of entries and a really high standard of entries.”
There were between 400 and 450 entries with categories for flowers, vegetables, fruit, home produce and flower arranging.
The event attracted entries from members as well as the general public.
The society welcomes new members and meets on the last Thursday of every month at Ibsley village hall, 7.30pm.
At its meeting on November 29 the group will be joined by gardener, author and broadcaster Roy Lancaster.
