SALISBURY Carnival will return to the city for the ninth year this October.

Salisbury City Council has announced the return of the Carnival, which aims to raise money for the Rose Gale Trust and Children's Chance. on Friday, October 19.

The illuminated procession will run from 7.30pm until 9pm and promises to be a fantastic evening for the whole family.

The Carnival will showcase entries from across the Wessex Carnival Circuit, Steam entries and local community groups and businesses.

The procession departs from the Central Car Park Coach Park, heads through the City along Castle Street, before going down Blue Boar Row, onto Queen Street, and through New Canal.

It will then continue through High Street, Bridge Street, Fisherton Street and then back into Central Car Park.

The Rose Gale Trust and Children’s Chance is the the Mayor of Salisbury’s appeal.

The Council is now seeking applications for those who wish to be involved in Salisbury Carnival.
