CHARLIE Rowley's home on Muggleton Road is now undergoing its clean up phase, following the nerve agent poisoning in June.

Decontamination of the property in Amesbury will be overseen by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), to ensure no traces of Novichok remain.

A Defra spokesperson said: “Clean-up efforts are ongoing in Muggleton Road, Amesbury as part of our tailored decontamination plans for each of the affected sites.

“Specialist teams are beginning the process of testing and removing items, a precautionary measure to ensure that any potential contamination is appropriately dealt with.

“The work is being planned and overseen by Defra in partnership with Wiltshire Council and based on expert advice.

"Our number one priority is making all sites safe so South Wiltshire can get back to normal.”

Charlie and partner, Dawn Sturgess were poisoned on June 30, after being exposed to the nerve agent that was contained in a perfume bottle.

Earlier this month decontamination work also began on Sergei Skripal's home in Christie Miller Road, and the clean up of Salisbury restaurant Zizzi was confirmed as complete by Defra on Wednesday (September 19).
