The organisers of Camp Bestival have confirmed they are having financial challenges.

It comes as Amigo Loans tycoon James Benamore filed notices at the High Court of his intention to appoint administrators to Bestival Group, Bestival Ltd and Camp Bestival, according to The Sunday Times.

But the organisers say next year's event WILL go ahead.

Here's what they are advising.

  • If you have already bought tickets...

The tickets will remain valid. Organisers say they have no reason to believe Camp Bestival won't go ahead as planned and they are already "deep" into the planning stage.

  • What about refunds for this year?

There is due to be an update on the refund process soon, once the organisers have a "clear response and timeline from all agents involved", they say. They are 'doing their best' to get the answers people are asking for.

  • Is this due to the cancellation of Sunday at this year's Camp Bestival?

Organisers say no, although it hasn't helped.

  • What if I want a refund on the 2019 tickets?

Normal terms and conditions will apply if you do want a refund as the event is still due to go ahead next year.

  • What if I am on the monthly payment plan?

Once a new partner is in place, the event is expected to go ahead, so people on the monthly payment plan should be contacted by Ticketmaster and payments should resume as normal.

What we know so far
