A SALISBURY care home transported residents and visitors back in time for a 1950s themed afternoon.
The event was held by Gracewell of Salisbury as part of World Alzheimer’s Day on Friday, September 21.
Guests were invited to take a trip down memory lane and join the residents for lots of fun and laughter, along with live entertainment, and sing-alongs to old hit songs.
A special afternoon tea was served up by the Gracewell team, who turned up in their finest 1950s dress.
Sandra Smith, the home admissions advisor at Gracewell of Salisbury, said: “The event was such a wonderful experience for all residents as well as guests.
“World Alzheimer’s Day is a great way to raise awareness of a condition that affects so many people and we hope that more people were able to learn something new this year.”
