STORYTELLING and gig combine in a contemporary sci-fi fairy tale inspired by H G Wells’ 1895 novella The Time Machine.

In his first solo piece, musician and theatre-maker Dom Coyote takes audiences on a journey through time.

We Can Time Travel is in The Salberg, Salisbury Playhouse, from October 4-6.

Dom said: “I am a huge sci-fi fan. For me, the best science fiction sheds a light on the present day. It holds a mirror up to society. The last few years have seen monumental shifts in our world: Brexit, the refugee crisis, to name but a few. It’s an epic, frightening time and it keeps on coming. I wanted to make something about the pace of change, and how to regain hope, to believe that we can change the future and learn from our past...”

And Salisbury Arts Centre presents accessible theatre performances . The Garden, from Spare Tyre, has been created for an audience of learning disabled adults while Invisible Music, from Platform 4, is inspired by interviews with Winchester’s lip reading group and describes their experiences through musical movement.

The Garden is on Wednesday, October 2 and Thursday 3 and Invisible Music on Friday 5.
