PUPILS and staff at Chafyn Grove celebrated the officially opening of its newly refurbished reception building.
Salisbury MP John Glen was on hand to cut the ribbon during the special opening ceremony on Friday.
The new facility has been designed to create as much light and space in the learning environment.
Mr Glen was given a tour by the reception class who were excited to show the MP the three metre crocodile and the pet mice.
He also joined pupils for lunch then gave a talk to Years 7 and 8 on the work of an MP, taking questions which ranged from Brexit and Novichok to what the prime minister is really like.
Chafyn Grove head teacher Simon Head said: “It was a memorable and enjoyable afternoon. Mr Glen gave everyone clear and interesting insights into his work, both in Westminster and Salisbury.
“We are clearly lucky to have such a hard-working and sincere MP, and hopefully some of the children will one day follow his example and footsteps.”
