SALISBURY Speakers chose its most humorous speaker at a contest last Monday (October 1). Winner Ann Richardson will represent the club in the Dorset and Wiltshire contest later this month. Ann joined Salisbury Speakers in February. Since then she has been honing her public speaking skills by observing and practising. At the contest she gave a lively and funny presentation about bee-keeping. Though only her fourth speech it was the winner. Being a member of the club has made a "massive, massive" difference, Ann says. She now gives presentations at work and feels more confident in general. That is because the club follows a tried and tested formula.

Salisbury Speakers is an affiliate of Toastmasters International, which has over a third of a million members in 143 countries.

Salisbury Speakers meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Join us upstairs at 7.15pm at The Pheasant Inn, Salt Lane, Salisbury or find out more on salisburyspeakers.org.uk, Facebook or Twitter.
