THOUSANDS of pounds was raised for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) during an autumn fair in Damerham village hall last Friday.
The money was raised by Fordingbridge Friends of Cancer Research UK.
The group’s chairman Loraine Morgan said: “The event was an outstanding success and nearly £4,500 was raised by the hard work and efforts of Fordingbridge Friends of CRUK.”
Shoppers were able to browse around a number of stalls selling a range of products from food to gifts and accessories, homeware, greetings cards and advent calendars, books and beauty products.
There was also a raffle with prizes donated by businesses in the area and the stallholders.
