I'M very saddened to see the return of parking charges on a Sunday at Culver Street car park. Up to the events that happened in the city in March the car park was branded the "shoppers car park" with charges between 8am and 3pm but free on Sundays and bank holidays, different to the rest of the council-owned car parks.
Return of parking charges sees Culver Street in parity with the rest of the city. A lack of transparency by the council in this instance smacks of profiteering from a local tragedy.
