THERAPISTS from a Salisbury spa treated TV show singers to a massage over the weekend.

Three members of the Vita Skin Spa team travelled to the X Factor's contestant's house on Sunday (October 14) to give the remaining contestants a massage during their free time, leading up to the live shows.

Contestants were treated to a lava shell massage, where a heated clam shell is used as the massage tool.

The shell applied to the body helps soothe aches and pains while relaxing the client.

Spa director, Nikki Spicer said the team were "privileged" to be invited to the house and provide their massage expertise, adding: "We absolutely love lava shell massage and it's such an honour that we got to help them [contestants] take a little time to relax.

"We’ve been thrilled that the contestants have taken to social media to tell us what they thought of their massages.”

TV show entrants who enjoyed a massage included Molly from the girls category, Armstrong, Brendan and Anthony from the boys, Danny from the overs and members of the LMA Choir and Vibe5.

Nikki added: “What was lovely was that they [contestants] were all so grateful for their treatments.

"Such a lovely group of people, who made us feel so welcome in the house. They even invited us to stay for roast dinner!

"We now can’t wait to see who wins the show.”
