ALTHOUGH I can sympathise with Pauline strainers complaint of cyclists riding on the pavement, there are circumstances where this is acceptable. Everyone is complaining about the state of the city's roads with potholes sinking roads and the city's continued congestion. This in turn puts cyclists at risk as they often have to swerve in front of vehicles on the road to avoid poorly maintained road surfaces. Cycle lanes are also poorly maintained with litter and weeds growing in curbs.
People complain about things without seeing the bigger picture. Everybody's safety is important whether they are on the city's roads or pavements and must look out for each other. With the onset of winter coming the road surfaces again will be damaged further and roads will be falling apart causing more issues.
