GRAFFITI has been found on a Salisbury clinic wall for the second time.

On Monday (October 22), Afon House Chiropractic Clinic was the victim of vandalism as graffiti was found on one side of the building.

The graffiti consists of three images in red, that can be seen on the wall of the building connecting to Salt Lane carpark.

Afon House had a similar incident in 2015 when a graffiti-style written message was left by an anti- capitalist campaigner.

Manager at the clinic, Julie Haley said there was a "depressing sense of déjà vu" when she witnessed the clinic wall Monday morning, adding: "When we are all working hard to maintain and grow our business, in difficult times, it is just so disheartening to find that once again we shall have to rectify and pay for mindless vandalism to our property."

When graffiti was reported to Wiltshire Council the first time, the clinic team was told because it was a private property it was their own responsibility to repaint the wall.

Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID) helped Afon House in 2015 by assisting in painting over the graffiti, and Julie has contacted the team with hopes of their support again.

Under the assumption of having to cover painting costs once more, Julie is "not impressed", adding: "The perpetrators of this behaviour are doing Salisbury no favours at all, in fact you do it a great disservice when everyone is trying so hard to overcome and lift the negative image that the very mention of ‘Salisbury’ evokes."
